Prof. Emer.

Environmental management research laboratory (EMRL) focuses in development of integrated urban environmental systems under the concept of sustainability. The systems include sustainable water and reuse systems, integrated management system of urban infrastructures, and urban environmental conservation systems.

Urban Engineering and Sustainability: Development of
-Sustainable water systems for highly populated urban areas
-Integrated management systems for urban infrastructures using material flow analysis and LCA
-Integrated water resources management (IWRM)
-Adaptive design methodology for environmental complex systems
-Evaluation methods of business models of water industry

Advanced Technologies: Development of
-Hydrogen gas-based pure water production
-Membrane process (UF, MF and pre-treatment for seawater desalination)
-Advanced coagulation, flocculation and filtration processes
-Disinfection processes (Chlorination, UV & ozone, etc.)
-Advanced diagnosis system of water distribution network
-Development of on-lake water quality management methods with air diffuser system
