Yujin Kim Won the Grand Prize (AI Division) at the 2025 Data Innovation Competition!
We are proud to announce that our brilliant Ph.D. student Yujin Kim has been awarded the Grand Prize (AI Division) at the 2025 Data Innovation Competition (https://www.yna.co.kr/amp/view/MYH20250901015600371).
Her project, “SAFE:ON – An Integrated Platform for Real-Time Risk Detection and Prediction,” utilized high-precision maps and urban data to develop AI prediction models that can proactively identify urban risks.
The platform also evaluates potential benefits for both citizen responses on-site and policy decision-making scenarios.
This recognition highlights Yujin’s commitment to applying data-driven methods to urban safety and resilience. We congratulate her on this outstanding achievement.
The 2025 Data Innovation Competition was co-hosted by the National Geographic Information Institute, Architecture & Urban Research Institute, and Dong-A Ilbo, and organized by the Korean Society of Surveying, Geodesy, Photogrammetry, and Cartography.
