Held in Jeju from July 4 to 10, the STAI 2025 program was a collaborative educational initiative jointly organized by KAIST Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Cheju Halla University, and Yonsei University, with support from AWS and Saltlux. The program brought together students from KAIST’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Graduate School of Green Growth and Sustainability, Cheju Halla’s Department of Artificial Intelligence, and Yonsei’s Department of Computer Science.
Under the theme “AI for Climate Action,” participants explored how artificial intelligence and climate technologies can support sustainable infrastructure. Through lectures, cloud-based workshops, mentoring, and a hackathon, students developed practical strategies to address critical climate challenges.
